The Event Center at the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management was, from conception, created to accommodate both the variable space requirements of a professional conference and the exacting technological demands of multi-media presentations.

Corporate Events

Designed with our business guests in mind, our facility features:

  • Multiple meeting rooms, presentation rooms and amphitheaters designed to comfortably accommodate everything from a small meeting to a conference of a hundred.
  • High-speed wireless access throughout the building plus laptop outlets at each seat in the presentation space.
  • A business center equipped with computers, laptop ports, copier and fax.
  • A beautiful and convenient location.
  • The University of Denver is conveniently accessible from downtown Denver or the Denver Technological Center. Visitors to Denver will enjoy the mountain horizon visible from campus and all will appreciate our convenient, dedicated parking garage just steps from the event center.

Weddings

Our menu includes a variety of selections that appeal to the budget as much as to the taste buds. Our chef and culinary ream are dedicated to making each meal memorable and are happy to work with you to design a custom menu to fit your special day.

The Knoebel Staff know how important your wedding day is, which is why we include all of the following services; complimentary bride and groom suites with savory snacks, champagne, or beer and wine, set up and break down of the ballroom on event day, packing/loading of wedding gifts, and complimentary cake cutting. Our on-site managers are present for the entire event, and are dedicated to assisting the bride, groom and families with all details of the rehearsal, ceremony and reception.

Team Building

We offer four basic types of events, including:

  • Interactive Cooking Demonstration:  A member of our culinary team leads a cooking demonstration of a specific dish, while answering questions and sharing taste samples.  This activity takes place in our amphitheater style demo kitchen and at the end of the event, guests have the recipe(s) to take home!
  • Team Cooking:  In this activity, guests (maximum 25 per session) will work in small teams (with guidance from the chef) to prepare a dish to be served during your event. 
  • Last Team Standing: In this true culinary competition a small group (maximum 20 per session), is split into teams who compete against each other course by course.  Guided by a member of our culinary staff, guests will work together to create unique and flavorful dishes.  Each round, the judges score the dishes in order to decide who will move on and who will take a seat, eventually presenting a prize to the winning team. 
  • Be the Chef: This activity is developed for larger groups who still want the culinary experience.  Guests break in to smaller teams and take over the kitchen for a few hours to make the appetizer/salad, entrée and dessert/finish course for their event.
